Looking in on Water Bar

I'm waiting for my subprime portfolio to re-adjust before I open my wallet at the new outrageously priced Waterbar. Let's hope you pay for more than just the view when you spend $29 for their "version of fish and chips" -- their words, not mine. The view is spectacular, as shown in this promo photo from their Web site.

Sophisticates put all manner of pickled things in their gin; why not Texas-style brined okra? It didn't quite have the toothsomeness of an olive or the crunch of a pearl onion, but lo, it wasn't bad. Behold.
