Look Who's Back
Our old Pizzetta friend Tamar has resurfaced, according to this Chron column. Was she cheesemaking in Vermont this whole time? We must go visit and ask. She's executive chef of Socha a new cafe in the Mission/Bernal Heights area, near the Safeway. Note: the article calls Pizzetta a "cult favorite."

the partners have some kind of sensibility about venues that are magnets for so-called hipsters, particularly with the Mission cafe. the question is, if you yourself wanted to open a hipster place, would you succeed as this couple has?
I think the answer lies less in my hipness and more in my ability to spend 20 hours a day running a small business. And the answer is no, probably not.
